WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION?

A Home Inspection is a non invasive visual examination of a residential dwelling, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed material of a residential defects within specific components of said dwelling. Components may include any combination of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing and/or other essential systems or portions of the home, as identified and agreed to by the client and inspector prior to the inspection process.
A Home Inspection is intended to assist in evaluation of the overall condition of the dwelling. The Inspection is based on observations of the visible and apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date of the Inspection, and not the prediction of future conditions.

DO I OR MY REALTOR NEED TO BE AT THE HOME INSPECTION?

No, neither of you have to be at the inspection. However, either are welcome to attend the inspection. If you are planning on attending we request show up during the last half hour or so. This gives your inspector the time needed to focus on doing a detailed, thorough inspection of the home for you without distraction. Once the inspector is finished, they will go over the findings of the inspection with you and answer any questions you may have.
Even if you are not able to attend the inspection, you will get your report emailed to you within 24 hours of the completion or your inspection and you may always call our office if you have any questions.

WHAT IF NEITHER MY REALTOR NOR MYSELF CAN ATTEND THE INSPECTION?

Not a problem. Your inspector will still complete the inspection as if you were there. The inspection report will be ready to send within 24 hours of inspection completion as long payment has been received.
